A ball cup with flange mounting, also known as a UFO or Saturn ball cup, consists of a pressed galvanised sheet steel housing and a stainless steel ball. For damp environments, a steel ball cup with stainless steel ball roller is a less expensive solution than a fully stainless steel housing. The stainless steel ball roller prevents rust from being transferred to the object being guided over it in direct contact. The built-in ball rolls on multiple supporting balls to create low friction. There is a drain hole for dirt under the housing. Suitable for radial and axial transport up to ½ m/s.

The minimum spacing is calculated by dividing the shortest length of the object to be transported by 3.5.
