Shipping container swivel caster with brake 250 mm with ISO side twistlock - 3000 kg

This robust swivel caster with side twistlock has been specially developed for the safe and efficient movement of ISO shipping containers and other applications with suitable ISO corner castings. Thanks to the side-operated twistlock mechanism, the caster is secured through the side opening of the lower corner casting of the container. This keeps the locking mechanism easily accessible and allows the caster to be securely attached to the shipping container with minimal effort. A foldable 100 mm support wheel is mounted to the caster fork, allowing the swivel caster to be easily moved into position beneath a corner casting. After attachment, the support wheel can be folded away.

The container casters are fitted with twin wheels with a diameter of 250 mm and a width of 63 mm, providing good manoeuvrability and low rolling resistance, even under heavy loads. The wheels are equipped with a yellow polyurethane tread vulcanised onto black-painted cast-iron rims. The tread has a hardness of 92 Shore A, providing slight cushioning and making the caster suitable for uneven surfaces. Both wheels are locked by the braking mechanism and are fitted with double 6206 2RS ball bearings for smooth, low-stress operation. The swivel caster has a dynamic load capacity of 3000 kg.

The side twistlock is designed for attachment to the side opening of the lower ISO corner casting of a shipping container. By locking the twistlock mechanism, the caster is securely connected to the corner casting. The robust steel construction provides a stable connection and is suitable for handling heavy loads while moving the container. Because the twistlock mechanism is operated from the side, it remains easily accessible for installation and removal.
