Hygienic design

This stainless steel swivel castor with brake has been developed for applications in the food industry where hygiene and reliability are key. The castor is equipped with a stainless steel central ball bearing and is protected on both sides by blue caps. This protection ensures that the bearing can rotate without play, prevents dirt from accumulating in or around the bearing, and helps to keep moisture out of the bearing as much as possible. This allows us to achieve maximum service life and consistent performance.

Cleaning

During visual inspection, the blue color makes it easy to see if dirt or food residues are stuck to the material. The combination of a 304 stainless steel swivel fork, polyamide wheel core, and blue polyurethane tread consists of materials with a smooth surface and few dirt edges, making the wheel quick and easy to clean. In addition, the materials are chemically resistant to common cleaning agents.

Driving characteristics

The blue polyurethane tread is wear-resistant, shock-absorbing, and floor-friendly. The 80 mm wheel is made of polyurethane with a polyamide rim. This combination creates low rolling resistance and a high load capacity of 120 kg. Thanks to the central ball bearing, the wheel rotates smoothly and stably. The bearing is extra protected by two blue, shielded ball bearing caps, which reduce the chance of dirt and moisture entering and further increase the service life.
