The 250 mm polyamide swivel castor with brake is composed of an extremely solid steel welded fork, combined with a sturdy polyamide wheel. These steel welded swivel castors are particularly useful in situations where the risk of collisions with forklift trucks is high, or in very robust environments where minimal downtime is essential, along with a long service life. The swivel fork is equipped with a forward brake that simultaneously blocks both the turntable and the wheel. This brake ensures that the brake is always in the same direction as the application is moved.

The steel welded swivel fork has an 8 mm mounting plate, in which an axial pivot bearing is combined with a tapered roller bearing as a swivel head. The underside of the swivel head is screwed three times to the mounting plate and securely locked with a spot weld. The turntable is sealed and remains lubricated throughout its service life, but can be re-lubricated if necessary. The welded connection of the fork legs to the turntable makes the castor very resistant to lateral shocks. In addition, the swivel forks are yellow passivated, resulting in excellent corrosion resistance.

The precision injection-molded polyamide wheel has no air bubbles or uneven material distribution, allowing the heavy duty wheels to combine a high load capacity with excellent impact and shock resistance. The wheels are equipped with double precision ball bearings, giving them low frictional resistance on flat surfaces and a continuously smooth rolling motion.
